Singapore is a melting pot of nations with very diverse ethnicity albeit with Chinese, Malay and Indian dominance. Its western and modern influence also contributed significantly to the classical dance arts of ballet, as well as other western folk dance.
This art form is widely promoted and interest in dance is intense and across all sectors of the society.
